Sweet Kiss
For Dogs
(and humans too!)

Introduction:
For the last year, I have used a product by Great American Natural
Products, Inc., called "Sweet Kiss" as part of my dogs' breath care regimen. To my knowledge, this product is the only one of its kind.
Chlorophyll:
Sweet Kiss contains only natural ingredients - chlorophyll, vegetable glycerin, peppermint essential oil and purified water. What makes Sweet Kiss so effective
is its superior quality of chlorophyll. The standard liquid chlorophyll found in health food stores is typically 99% water. At such a diluted level, there are few benefits. The form of chlorophyll used in Sweet Kiss is a concentrated juice powder. And while
it is more costly to produce, its efficacy cannot be disputed.
Chlorophyll is a whole food form, which results from plant photosynthesis. It is considered a powerful detoxifier and nutritional immune system booster. The health benefits of chlorophyll are numerous and it is safe, non-toxic and gentle.
By removing toxic bacterial growth, chlorophyll reduces odors from internal processes related to digestion and bowels. Since it contains vitamins A, C, E, K, folic acid, iron, calcium and protein, it provides antioxidants, reduces inflammation and helps strengthen the immune system. Chlorophyll is believed to help eliminate germs, which can strengthen body tissue and stave off bacteria growth.
As it aids in promoting a healthy digestive tract, it reduces odors in the mouth and body.
Its alkaline properties balance ph levels, which alleviate acidity in the
body, and may assist with the prevention of fatigue and stress.
Dog Breath:
Sweet Breath helps reduce bad dog breath with a "one-two punch". First, the peppermint essential oil (emulsified in veggie glycerin and purified water) provides
an instant minty freshness right away. Second, as the chlorophyll works from the inside out, it helps reduce bad breath.
Daily use will neutralize odors over time. And it is perfect for people and dogs with allergies because there are no
faux masking scents. Immediately after dropping a few drops into your dog's mouth, a fresh minty breath
(and perhaps some major tail wagging) will result!
Dog Odors:
Another area of concern is general doggie BO (a.k.a., body odor!). Chlorophyll
also helps neutralize the smell of a dog’s body odor. So not only will there be a reduction in bad breath, but there will also be a noticeable decrease in dog stinkies!
To reiterate, chlorophyll neutralizes smells by helping the digestive process. Once it has passed through the dog’s system, odors emanating from
the body are dramatically reduced. And there will also be a less pungent smell
resulting from urine and feces.
How to Use:
Packaged in a glass vial with a dropper, Sweet Kiss can be used in a variety of ways. You - and your pooch - are free to decide on the method that works best for you! Some doggies
like their humans to dispense the minty treat directly into the mouth, while others prefer the drops
be sprinkled into food or onto treats. Another option is to add Sweet Kiss to
your pet's water bowl. My dogs prefer a few drops dispensed directly into their mouths after meals because they LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the taste!
It's their post-meal treat. I love it because it smells divine, is chocked full of health benefits, contains no calories and earns me sweet kisses from my favorite duo!
Dosaging:
There's no need to worry about giving your pet too much because it is so gentle. Yet despite its safety, Sweet Kiss is a powerhouse at reducing odors.
But there's no need to waste the product. In general, I recommend
the following: For small dogs (Chihuahuas) - 2-4 drops
twice daily
Medium dogs (Beagles) - 4-6 drops twice daily
Large (German Sheperds) - 6-8 drops twice daily
Extra Large (Great Danes) - 8-10 drops twice daily
Depending on the size of your dog, the 2 fluid oz. bottle will last
approximately 6 months when used twice daily. It works 24/7, but for the best results, continue to use daily. Over time, you can decrease the dosage to once daily.
A Note on Dog Teeth & Bad Breath:
Sweet Kiss temporarily reduces bad breath by providing a quick minty burst of
freshness. And over the long term, it reduces the bacteria that cause bad breath, ultimately reducing mouth odors.
However, it is important to note that dogs with severe tartar and plaque buildup
on their teeth may still have some residual breath odor. In these situations, a professional cleaning by a vet may be necessary to eliminate the buildup that contributes to the most stubborn,
resistant and unpleasant dog breath.
Having had dogs all of my life, I am a big advocate of taking care of my
dogs' teeth. So I'm one of those crazy people who brushes their teeth a few times weekly with a dog-safe toothpaste and toothbrush. I also feed them a high quality kibble diet to help scrape off the inevitable plaque and tartar buildup that occurs over the years. Another tip to help remove buildup on teeth includes
incorporating tactile, non-edible bones with a "scraping" action on the teeth.
And of course, annual checkups with a vet are key. Once the buildup is removed, it is a great time to start your dog on a preventative care program by incorporating one or two of these tips.
